RCVS Cert AVP Course
Small Animal Medicine

5th January 2009

Who Should Enrol?

The syllabus will closely follow the module content for the new RCVS Cert AVP in Small Animal Medicine - Canine Module 2 C-SAM.2 and Feline Module 5 C-SAM.5. It will be of interest to any vet wanting to develop their depth of knowledge and understanding of canine and feline medicine.

How Will I be Taught?
All of the course material will be delivered online. A group of vets will participate in the course together and a strong emphasis will be put on encouraging the group to share their expertise and experience and work together with problem solving. Our online facilitator and expert clinicians will be involved in some of the online discussions. We expect the course to take around 3-4 hours per week. New material, tasks and material for discussion will be added each week, with links to further reading and our library resources. Most of the interaction will be asynchronous, so you can study exactly when it suits you best but still benefit from the support of your fellow vets with a common interest. If for any reason you are not available on a particular week, the material will still be available and discussion boards accessible to allow you to catch up.
