C-S.3 - Parasitic and Lamb Diseases
The aim of the module is to enable the candidate to extend and consolidate clinical knowledge and skills gained at undergraduate level, and to develop an in-depth understanding of the application of that knowledge in production animal practice.
This module is available either as free-standing module or as part of the Certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice and the designated certificate in production animal practice.
Enrolling for assessment in the R(D)SVS will give you access to an online support environment to assist you in achieving your assessment. This online environment includes the following:
- Contact with other CertAVP (Production Animal Practice) participants
- An online portfolio with case templates and other resources
- An electronic learning diary to record your evidence, cases and experience
- Reading lists, sample learning diaries and other appropriate support materials
The next induction date is listed on the Production Animal Practice homepage.
This online environment is not intended as a full course to study for these modules. You will be expected to attend CPD courses (from your choice of provider) and complete self study to reach the required standards to gain a Cert AVP.
Candidates working towards the designated Certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice (Sheep or Cattle) will need to complete the A-Professional Key Skills module, the B-Clinical Key Skills module, the B-PAP module and three of the C modules. Upon completion of all the necessary modules, a further synoptic oral assessment will also be required.
If you wish to register or have any specific enquiries about CertAVP modules or designated certificates, please contact the CertAVP Administrator, Irene Harris, by email or by phone on +44 (0)131 650 6149.
Contact hours are 9.30-12.45, Monday to Friday.
