The aim of the module is to enable the candidate to extend and consolidate clinical knowledge and skills gained at undergraduate level, and to develop an in-depth understanding of the application of that knowledge in small animal medicine.

Completion of all three C-Small Animal Medicine Feline modules, together with the appropriate B modules, is required for candidates aiming to achieve the Certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice (Feline Medicine). These modules can also be selected by candidates aiming to achieve the Certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice (Small Animal Practice).

Enrolling for assessment in the R(D)SVS will give you access to an online support environment to assist you in achieving your assessment. This online environment includes the following:

  • Contact with other CertAVP SA participants; practice, medicine and surgery
  • An online portfolio with case templates and other resources
  • An electronic learning diary to record your evidence, cases and experience
  • Reading lists, sample learning diaries and other appropriate support materials

The next induction date is listed on the Small Animal Practice homepage.
