CertAVP Zoological Medicine
We are now able to take enrolments for all the Cert AVP Zoo modules for assessment at Edinburgh University.
Assessment is normally held in November and the dates for November 2010 will be confirmed shortly.
Enrolling for assessment in the R(D)SVS will give you access to an online support environment to assist you in achieving your assessment.
The next induction for Zoo Med modules will start in January 2011 to help you become familiar with the online system. The date will be confirmed shortly, but in the meantime, you can still register below.
This online environment is not intended as a full course to study for these modules. You will be expected to attend CPD courses (from your choice of provider) and complete self study to reach the required standards to gain a CertAVP. We are currently planning our CPD to support these modules and would be grateful if you could tell us if there is a particular area you would like us to cover.
Candidates working towards the designated Certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice (Zoological Medicine) will need to complete the A-Professional Key Skills module, the B-Clinical Key Skills module, the B-Zoological Medicine module and three of the five available C-Zoological Medicine modules. Upon completion of all the necessary modules, a further synoptic oral assessment will also be required.
If you have any specific enquiries about CertAVP modules or designated certificates, please contact the CertAVP Administrator, Irene Harris, by email or by phone on +44 (0)131 650 6149.
Contact hours are 9.30-12.45, Monday to Friday.
