How do I get a CertAVP?

1. You will need to enrol with both the RCVS and with us.
2. We will let you know the assessment timetable, requirements and guidelines for assessment.
3. You will complete your assessment either one module at a time or for several modules at the same time.
4. After passing each module we will issue a module certificate and inform the RCVS of your progress. From R(D)SVS this will be a University of Edinburgh credit bearing award.
5. The RCVS keep a record of your achievements and once you have gained 60 credits combining A, B and C modules they will issue you with a Certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice (CertAVP). If you have chosen to work towards a designated certificate the RCVS will carry out a final synoptic assessment - either an oral or practical - before they issue you with the certificate.
