The University through Accommodation Services and its commercial arm, Edinburgh First, is able to offer competitively priced, centrally located temporary accommodation (up to 6 months) for new recruits to the University or for other official visitors who require accommodation on a short term basis.

The Kenneth Mackenzie Suite, booked via Edinburgh First, offers comfortable, centrally located and competitively priced hotel accommodation for visitors to the City.
Rates start from £31.50 per person per night, including full Scottish breakfast and VAT. Schools are invited to take advantage of this facility to provide overnight accommodation for interview candidates or other visitors to the University.
Situated at 7 Richmond Place, it is close to the University’s main complex at George Square and within 15 minutes walk of Princess Street and Waverley Station.
All 38 rooms (18 double and 20 single) are en-suite with television, telephone and tea and coffee making facilities. Rooms are serviced daily. A dedicated room is used for breakfast but no other catering facilities are available. Although the hotel does not have parking facilities, on-street parking is available nearby.

Accommodation is also available through Accommodation Services in modern, single, en-suite rooms in Chancellor’s Court or Masson House, residencies within the University’s student accommodation complex at Pollock Halls.
All rooms are fully furnished and bed linen and towels are provided. Rooms are cleaned and towels changed three times a week with bed linen changed twice a week.
Accommodation can be offered on a half board basis at a rate of £140 plus vat per person per week. There are no additional charges for gas or electricity.

A completely new fully furnished conversion of accommodation above Blackwell’s Book Shop is also now available.
Applications are welcomed for stays for a minimum of 12 weeks and up to the end of August 2005. Some accommodation is available into September 2005 and beyond. The types of accommodation available are studios for couples and singles 2, 3 and 4 bedroom flats.
Prices start from £500 per month and include vat and utility costs. Telephony, data, television and any liability for council tax are extra.
