CertAVP Small Animal Practice
Enrolling for assessment in the R(D)SVS will give you access to an online support environment to assist you in achieving your assessment.
Assessment is normally held twice a year in June and September.
The induction dates for 2012 are 16th January, 14th May and 17th September. The induction is designed to help you become familiar with the online system.
PLEASE NOTE: the closing dates for registration are 13th January, 9th May and 12th September, respectively. Registrations after this point will be forwarded to the next induction.
This online environment is not intended as a full course to study for these modules. You will be expected to attend CPD courses (from your choice of provider) and complete self study to reach the required standards to gain a Cert AVP.
Candidates working towards the designated Certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice will need to complete the A-Professional Key Skills module, the B-Clinical Key Skills module, the B-SAP module and three C modules. Upon completion of all the necessary modules, a further synoptic oral assessment will also be required if candidates wish to have a designated certificate (e.g. Small Animal Practice, Feline Medicine, or Canine Medicine).
If you have any specific enquiries about CertAVP modules or designated certificates, please contact the CertAVP Administrator, Irene Harris, by email or by phone on +44 (0)131 650 6149.
Contact hours are 9.30-12.45, Monday to Friday.
